STOA Workshop

Alexander Hörbst was invited by scientific committee of STOA (Science and Technology Options Assessment) from the European parliament to the workshop “Challenges for the deployment of eHealth in routine care in the EU” and the discussion of the topic “Priorities for eHealth in the EU and the role of EU policy”. The STOA committee of the European parliament addresses important technological and scientific future challenges and assesses the effects on the European society and economy.

GMDS symposium

From 8th to 10th of October 2015 Marco Schweitzer attended the GMDS symposium for PhD students in Ulm, Germany. This event is held once a year to meet with PhD students from all German speaking countries to present and discuss the proposed PhD works.

Contribution Yearbook 2015

Alexander Hörbst was invited to contribute the survey paper for the section "Clinical Information Systems" to the Yearbook of Medical Informatics 2015, which is entitled 'An investigation on barriers and critical success factors for Clinical Information Systems in integrated care settings'. The yearbook publishes outstanding scientific work each year. The contributions are selected by an international board of scientists from the field.

Research funding granted

The funding for the project proposal 'Evidence based Case Report Forms (CRF) design - Templates and methods' was granted by the Tyrolean Science Fund (TWF) to Stefan Oberbichler. The Research Division for eHealth and Telemedicine congratulates Stefan for his successful proposal.
